Canberra Multi-cultural Dance Party
Well the Multi-cultural dance party turned out to be a great event and the
Novacastrians asked that we consider turning this into an annual event. That sounds like a great idea to me so later
in the year we will book Salsabor again and start promoting with the other West
Coast Swing dance schools. 2017 may
require a bigger venue!
Our next big date – 19th March 2016
The 2016 Connect and Participate (CAP) Expo at the Kingston
Markets starts at 11am at the Old Bus Depot Markets, 21 Wentworth Avenue,
Kingston. Last year over 8,000 people
came through the stalls and connected with community organisations. We will be promoting Audacity Dance there and
hopefully we get to perform a dance or three.
It would be great if some volunteers can be available to look after the
stall, hand out fliers, recruit fun people to join us and maybe demo West Coast
Swing. Drop me a line (mark@audacitydance.com.au) if you can help. We
will open a stall between 11am and 3pm so let me know when you might be
available.
Dance Party 19th March
That evening there will be a dance party at the **pending
confirmation** Belconnen Arts Centre starting at 7:30pm. The dance party is free for term pass holders
and $15 for everyone else. All monies
raised go to the Social Club. (N.B. We
were planning a dance party for 12/3 but we forgot about Canberra Day holiday
and people being away.)
